GENERAL FEUTURES of WATER TUBE ECONOMIZER |
■ A common application of economizers in steam power plants is to capture the washe heat from boiler stack gases(flue gas) and transfer it to the boiler feedwater. This raises the temperature of the boiler feedwater, lowering the needed energy input, in turn reducing the firing rates needed for the rated boiler output. |
■ If Coal and Fuel Oil Boiler’s economizer water temperature is under 70°C , it may cause corrosion in tubes. To prevent corrosion, that type boilers produced with higher temperature feautures. |
■ Each 20°C reduction in the temperature of the flue inert hot gases provides savings of approximately1%.(These valaus become higher in the case of condensation of Gas fired boilers flue gases). The condensation temperatures of natural gas is a 120°C, fuel oil at 160°C and 180°C coal. |
■ Usage areas: Thermal Oil Boilers, Steam, Hot Water Boilers, Drying Ovens, Cogeneration Plants, Waste Heat Recovery Devices. |

■ Usage Areas: In the low-pressure operating conditions, at places that has no problem with counter-pressure flue gas, at places that have high water capacities, |
■ While gas passes through smoke pipes, at the same time heating circulates outside the pipes. |
■ According to customers requests, could be made of stainless steel or carbon steel.
■There are two types of Water tube Economizer; 1-pass and 2-pass |
■ Economizer low stac temperatures may cause condensation of acidic combustion gases and serious equipment corrosion damage if care is not taken in their design and material selection. To prevent damages we prefer 316 stainless steel type.
■Economizers must be designed according to the places and working conditions. |
